| Make sure the cashier's check clears before mailing the bill of sale and title. Take many detailed photos and/or video of the overall condition of the car before shipping. Remember to check the body panels underneath the car as well. This protects you and the buyer if the shipping co damages anything and the buyer files a claim. You must note all existing flaws on the bill of lading in most/all cases - no matter how small it may seem. I'd also wrap the driver's seat with a plastic cover - throw a garbage bag over the backrest and cover the seat cushion. Maybe even cover the door panel cus most shipping co drivers are FILTHY when delivering these cars cross-country and they will dirty up the interior in no time (you're fairly close to the buyer though). Maybe excessive, but also consider manually entering the car into safety-boost (limp) mode. I think you can do this by disconnecting the detonation sensor. Not implying that all delivery drivers arent trust-worthy, but just added security from them taking a quick joy-ride around the block.
